I began marching in high school as a flute player, but before my senior year of high school, I joined the Racine Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps on trumpet. That summer, I learned trumpet at the same time I was learning our show. After graduating high school, I went on to study music education at Stephen F. Austin State University on my primary instrument of flute. I received a contract with the Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps for the summer of 2015 on mellophone and aged out from the corps in 2016.
