Color Guard Marcher
Founder and executive director of Spintronix Color Guard, Jackie has been a color guard performer since 2001 and has since broadened her resume to include design, instruction, and judging on a variety of levels. She has performed for and worked with groups from the junior high, high school, college, DCI, and WGI levels. She has had several successful projects including camps, an independent winterguard, and a color guard instruction video series on YouTube. In addition, she has studied and taught dance traditionally; ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. As other short-term projects, she works with the Macy’s Great American Marching Band each year, and was a performer in the 2016 Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I was in color guard in high school for 3 years, for a state champion school in Maryland. I then started instructing at 3 different high schools over the next 8 years, both outdoor and winter seasons. I currently am not instructing, and would love to mentor those interested or need any assistance and advice.
A native of Paris, Tennessee, Mr. Nicholas Blaine Bomar has been involved in the music world for over thirteen years. He is a graduate of Henry County High School where he was a percussionist and the Drum Major for the award-winning Marching Patriots. During the fall marching season, Blaine is a consultant with various high school marching band organizations in the area of visual design and assisting with drum majors. Most all of the organizations he has consulted with have won several top awards throughout the state of Tennessee. During the winter season, Blaine consults with multiple indoor programs throughout Western Tennessee and Western Kentucky in the area of overall general effect and drill staging. As of 2014, Blaine is a Level One graduate, and proud member of the Marching Roundtable Judge’s Academy instructed by some of the leading adjudicators in the marching arts: Mr. Tim Hinton of the Marching Roundtable and Dr. Joe Allison who are adjudicators for Drum Corp International, Bands of America, Winter Guard International, and a plethora of other state concert festivals and competitions across the nation and Japan. In addition to his training, he was featured as a guest speaker on the Marching Roundtable’s nationwide podcast discussing how to effectively judge a drum major(s) performance. Also, Mr. Bomar is apart of the adjudication staff of E-Adjudicate, an online program that allows directors and students in several different categories get feedback from knowledgeable individuals. Presently, Mr. Bomar resides in Paris, Tennessee as the Drum Major Clinician and Visual Design Staff for Henry County High School and is working towards his adjudicator’s certification with Central States Judges Association in the areas of Visual General Effect, Visual Ensemble, and Visual Performance Individual.
Originally from Harrison, NY, Michele recently relocated to the Bay Area from Boston, MA where she spent the past 4 years working professionally as a Stage and Production Manager for Theatre, Opera and Dance. During her time in Boston, she also worked for Blue Man Group as a Deck 3 Sub at the Charles Playhouse, Broadway in Boston as a Group Sales Assistant at the Boston Opera House and as an AEA Stage Manager.
Michele marched in the Color Guard with the Boston Crusaders (2009-2011) and the Bushwackers Drum and Bugle Corps (2007-2008). After aging out, she spent the 2012, 2013 and 2014 seasons working with the Crusaders in development, event and tour management before joining the SCV A Corps as a Tour Admin in 2015. Michele is excited to join Santa Clara as their new Tour Manager for the 2016 season!
Michele holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Stage and Production Management from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
Originally from Boston, MA as member/Director/Designer of Sacred Heart Roslindale for many yrs. Moved to FL and began working as Director/Designer Satellite HS, S atellite Beach, FL 25 yrs, on staff with UCF Pegasus guards, consultant for various teams over the years. Currently adjudicator for Florida Bandmasters, Central States Judges, Gulf Coast Judges and Festival Disney. Recently inducted into both the Mass. Drum Corps/Music Educators Assoc. and Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit Halls of Fame
