Founder and executive director of Spintronix Color Guard, Jackie has been a color guard performer since 2001 and has since broadened her resume to include design, instruction, and judging on a variety of levels. She has performed for and worked with groups from the junior high, high school, college, DCI, and WGI levels. She has had several successful projects including camps, an independent winterguard, and a color guard instruction video series on YouTube. In addition, she has studied and taught dance traditionally; ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. I marched 8 years as a young man in the 70’s and 80’s and am a rabid fan of the marching arts. I have had 2 of my sons march 5 years of marching band and my youngest is currently in contract with a DCI open class corps. Having been both a student and a parent of DCI and marching bands I can certainly help answer alot of concerns and questions on everything from equipment, gear, to staying connected to your student. Connections are hard to come by as touring corps have unbelievable schedules, so getting your loved one on a video chat at 2 in the morning when they roll into a school somewhere is not unheard of. I work in IT and my marching son is an avid techno geek we have overcome the silence that touring can bring to parents.
I have served as a Booster Secretary for one year and President for the past three years. In addition to having the heart of a volunteer for serving our Band program, I have a business background which allows me to have equal knowledge and balance of being passionate in service and adept at running a successful organization.
